See Ya! Miley Cyrus Unfollows Exes Liam Hemsworth and Kaitlynn Carter on Instagram
Onward and upward. Miley Cyrus has officially unfollowed her exes Liam Hemsworth and Kaitlynn Carter on Instagram after their respective breakups. The Hunger Games actor seems like he hit the “unfollow” button as well, but Kaitlynn still follows the 26-year-old pop star.
After Liam, 29, and Miley announced they were parting ways, he took to Instagram in August to wish the blonde beauty “nothing but health and happiness going forward.” Even though there were rumors swirling around that Miley had cheated on Liam, she set the record straight in an emotional set of tweets later that same month. “Liam and I have been together for a decade,” she wrote. “I’ve said it before, and it remains true, I love Liam and always will.”
Miley moved on with the 31-year-old reality starlet shortly afterward when they were spotted canoodling and making out during a trip to Italy. However, it seems like the former flames were able to remain cordial. “They’re still friends,” a source exclusively told In Touch at the time. “As far as I know nothing traumatic occurred. There was no huge blow up or a third party that got between them. Miley is busy doing stuff, and she’s got a lot on her plate. Their romance didn’t fizzle out, it just ran its course. That’s it.”
Ultimately, Kaitlynn doesn’t regret spending time with Miley. “While it was short-lived, I’ll remain eternally grateful to my most recent relationship for opening my eyes to this unexplored part of myself, and for inspiring a new level of self-discovery and wonder at all the possibilities of life,” she wrote in a personal essay for Elle magazine, which was published on November 4.
These days, the “Malibu” crooner seems happier than ever with her boyfriend, Cody Simpson. While dishing about the 22-year-old Australia native, Miley still managed to throw some shade at her ex-hubby. “Guys, I was being a little too, like, hardcore feminist vibes and just like, I don’t know, not allowing anyone in, but now I am. There are good men out there, guys. Don’t give up,” Miley said during an Instagram Live in October. “You don’t have to be gay. There are good people with d–ks out there, you just got to find them. You got to find a d–k that’s not a d–k, you know what I mean?”
Luckily, it didn’t seem to affect Liam since he has moved on with someone new — model Maddison Brown. The duo was spotted dining at a restaurant and holding hands during their time in New York City on October 10. “Liam and Maddison met recently in L.A. and just hit it off,” a second source told In Touch. “They have a lot in common — being a fellow Aussie, [being] actors, [being] family-oriented and loving the beach are just a few. It’s a totally natural fit, and they get on really well.”
Since Cody and Miley have been in each other’s lives for a long time, that’s why their relationship works so well. “We’ve been friends for so long that when we sort of found each other again in a space where … we both met back in the day when we were partying a lot,” Cody told In Touch and other reporters on October 11. “We had a lot of fun then. But now we’ve found each other in a space where we’re not partying, working real hard and just like keeps things healthy.”
Well, it seems like Miley is ready to forget the past — once and for all.
