Scary Skinny? Fans Think Michelle Duggar Looks ‘Sickly’ In New Photos From Central America
Are you okay, Michelle? Several fans took to the Duggar Official Facebook page to share their concerns regarding the Counting On star’s weight-loss. Although she looks great to us, others think she may have taken it a bit too far. Watch the video above to see the photos fans are commenting on and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube Channel.
“Michelle looks sickly skinny!” one person wrote, while others “liked” the comment. Ugh.
That said, a second couldn’t help but praise the mother-of-19. “Holy cow, Michelle looks amazing!” Another chimed in, “I didn’t realize it was Michelle at first. You can see in her face she lost weight. She looks great!”
Back in 2014, the 52-year-old opened up about body image and said she’s proud of her stretch marks and flaws. “We’re always going to find somebody skinnier than we are, somebody bigger than we are,” she said in an interview with TODAY. “Every girl struggles with, ‘Oh, I wish I looked like that or I wish my hair was like that.’ We go back to the point of who you are and how God made you — you’re not your sister. It’s all about being who God wants YOU to be.” Love that.
Michelle looked modest in her sandals, baggy T-shirt, and long black skirt. In an interview with TLC, the reality TV matriarch once said that there’s a reason she and her girls don’t show a lot of skin.
“Our interpretation [of modesty is] that from the neck down to the knee should be covered. By keeping those private areas covered, there’s not any ‘defrauding’ going on,” she explained in 2013. “My kids are taught the definition of defrauding as stirring up desires that cannot be righteously fulfilled. We don’t believe in defrauding others by the way we dress.”
Hmm… it seems like that message has gotten lost along the way for some of them, though. Jill and Jinger rock skinny jeans on the reg, and even Joy-Anna was spotted sporting the look! But I digress.
Seriously, Michelle looks fab. Haters gonna hate. *Insert shrugging emoji.*
