She just can’t win! Melissa Gorga uploaded a gorgeous photo of herself with her daughter, Antonia, before a school dance, but fans thought the dress was a little too revealing.

“And just like that, she’s off to the 8th grade dance,” the 40-year-old captioned the snap on Instagram on Thursday, June 13. “I can’t believe she’ll be in high school next year … I’m so proud of the strong, good hearted, athletic young lady she has turned into. #MyOnlyGirl.”

However, some users had a lot to say about the 13-year-old’s outfit. One person wrote, “She’s beautiful, but what happened to girls being girls? She is dressed like a woman and not a child of 13? Not criticizing but world moving too fast for the children,” while another echoed, “Kids are kids for such a small sliver of time and adults want to make them adults, and it’s sad. Yes, she’s beautiful but that dress is for a 21-year-old at a club, not an 8th grade dance.” A third person vented, writing, “She looks 25 on her first marriage and drinks rosé all day.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey starlet didn’t appear to be fazed by any of the comments as she just ignored the trolls. A lot of other Bravo personalities couldn’t help but show Melissa some love, though.

Kenya Moore exclaimed, “OMG what a beauty!” while Dolores Catania wrote, “She is soo beautiful.” Margaret Josephs also chimed in, writing, “Antonia looks so, so beautiful. Stunning beyond words.”

Meanwhile, the brunette beauty is focusing on her women’s clothing line Envy By Melissa Gorga. “I feel like a boss, and I had a lot of women come up to me tonight and say that I inspire them which literally brought me to tears a couple times tonight,” she exclusively told In Touch in May. “I’m exhausted of happiness. I’ve been working on this the last three weeks, so I just feel like it’s never ending. I feel like I’m done [now], and I’m excited that it’s over, but I’m proud of it.”

Melissa’s husband, Joe Gorga, is also trying to show their daughter that she can be a girl boss one day, too. “Tonight he said to me — he even told Antonia tonight, ‘You know what? If you want to take over your mother’s business one day, I support you.’ And finally he says that, you know, so I was happy to hear that.”
