Back and better than ever! Lindsay Shookus decided to give Ben Affleck another chance “because she was impressed that he’d gone back to rehab and was sober,” a source told Us Weekly.

It seems like the blonde beauty, 38, is a great influence on the actor’s life. “He’s in a good place and works hard on himself every day,” the insider added. “He’s much stronger at this stage.”

The Oscar winner, 46, and the Saturday Night Live producer split in August 2018 after they dated for over a year. Shortly afterward, Ben checked himself into rehab to treat his alcohol addiction and later got candid with his fans in a heartfelt Instagram post.

“This week I completed a 40-day stay at a treatment center for alcohol addiction and remain in outpatient care,” he wrote at the time. “The support I have received from my family, colleagues and fans means more to me than I can say. It’s given me the strength and support to speak about my illness with others. Battling any addiction is a lifelong and difficult struggle. Because of that, no one is never really in or out of treatment. It’s a full-time commitment. I am fighting for myself and my family. So many people have reached out on social media and spoken about their own journeys with addiction. To those people, I want to say thank you.”

It’s no surprise that the pair rekindled their romance since Lindsay kept in touch with the dad-of-three while he was at the facility. “[Lindsay] still reaches out to check on how he’s doing,” a source told In Touch at the time. “She and Ben parted as friends, it wasn’t this nasty breakup that some have said. He needed to get his life in order, by that I mean get sober.”

Since then, the New York native has been standing by her man. “She’s given up drinking to adapt to his sober lifestyle and moved some of her stuff into his house,” a second insider told In Touch. “This is love.”

It seems like these two are in it to win it.
