When it comes to celebrity coparenting, no one is better at it than Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick. Despite the Keeping Up with the Kardashian couple’s messy relationship and multiple breakups, the two have always managed to make things work for their kids. And when the mom-of-three interviewed her ex for a new video on her lifestyle website, Poosh, they shared just how they do it — and one of the things they’re most proud of. While discussing how they’ve handled coparenting over the years, the reality stars agreed that they’ve been “very lucky” that they consistently get along. In fact, they were so lucky that they never even had to work with lawyers to draw up their custody agreement.

“I think it’s nice that we didn’t have to involve attorneys,” Kourtney, 40, said in the video. “We just figured it out on our own and came up with our own schedule of what made the most sense with our kids.” Scott, 35, agreed. “You and I were luckily able to do it together,” he said. “I think we are very, very lucky the way we have everything. … What’s mine is yours. I live for the kids so whatever works and makes it easier for them, I’m into it.”

The clip is called “Part 1” on YouTube and ends with a “to be continued” message, implying that this will be part of a larger series from the parents. Throughout the 12 minutes, they discuss going on vacation together, how their parents managed when they were growing up, and the fact that they don’t compare their kids to each other. In fact, that’s one of the things they’re most proud of. “I think we’re really good at that,” Kourt shared. “Growing up with five siblings, my mom did compare us. … And she still does. She did it to me yesterday. … I was thinking about it today, that we never do that.” It sounds like the parents work hard on being able to work together — and that’s what makes them so amazing.
