He’s doing great. Kit Harington seems to be out of the woods after his rehab stint and seemed to be doing well at the 2020 Golden Globe awards. “A far departure from previous years, Kit Harington was sober and happy with his wife Rose Leslie,” an insider told In Touch exclusively of his attendance at this year’s event. “In years past Kit and his Game of Thrones cast would drink, and he would always overdo it.”

Kit, 33, and his wife walked the 2020 Golden Globes red carpet together and looked completely adorable while doing so. He was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Drama Series, which was the only nomination the HBO series got this year after a season finale of GoT that some fans found disappointing.

The actor told Ryan Seacrest it was “odd” to be at the January 5 awards without the rest of the cast. “I haven’t got my gang,” he noted. But the most important cast member to him was there, of course — Rose, 32, played Ygritte on the genre series.

Kit actually checked into rehab before Game of Thrones ended, In Touch confirmed back on May 28. His representatives told us in a statement at the time, “Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues.”

The end of the hit series “really hit him hard,” sources told Page Six in the spring. After all, the actor played the famed Jon Snow on the series for eight years.

Even before the series finale on May 19, Kit was reportedly at the Connecticut health retreat Privé-Swiss and stayed there for nearly a month. He went through, “psychological coaching, practicing mindful meditation and cognitive behavioral therapy to combat stress and deal with negative emotions” while he was there, according to the outlet.

At the time, a source told In Touch exclusively that Rose was “his biggest supporter” as he worked through his issues. “Kit’s a great guy, he tried to sober up on his own, but it just never stuck. Rehab is a good thing for him. Kit needs this, it’s been a long time coming,” the insider said.

It seems like it did him good since Kit looked so healthy and happy at the first Golden Globes since his treatment!
