Katy Perry Roasts Orlando Bloom for Wanting to Marry Her: ‘Are You Sure?’
True love. Katy Perry is giving Orlando Bloom a tough time — about his decision to marry her! The 34-year-old teased her fiancé about him wanting to tie the knot as they observed her goofy personality come to life on TV.
While watching American Idol, the Grammy nominee took to her Instagram story to share a video of herself harassing her soon-to-be-hubby. Through a series of Instagram stories, Katy is seen constantly asking her beau “are you sure,” captioning one of the videos: “FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE @americanidol.” The 42-year-old’s eyes literally do not leave the TV screen. However, at one point, Lando seems to be smiling, as he jokingly mummers “no” to her question. Don’t worry, his laugh emphasizes the sarcasm. The family fun night also features Katy’s sister Angela Hudson, as well as her adorable dog, Nugget.
On the March 10 episode of the singing competition, Katy joins in on contestant Jake Puliti’s audition. The “Rise” songstress decided to break out into the worm while he continued to sing Montell Jordan’s “This is How We Do It.”
The two recently announced their engagement on the most romantic day of the year, Valentine’s Day! Katy took to Instagram to post a close-up selfie of the two, showing off her gorgeous, unique pink engagement ring. The American Idol judge captioned the photo “full bloom,” Orlando shared the same selfie, but wrote, “Lifetimes.”
This is the second engagement for the two stars. Orlando was married to Miranda Kerr, whom the share 8-year-old Flynn with. Katy was also married to Russell Brand for a little over a year before calling it quits.
In February 2019, Katy gave all the details on the romantic proposal on Jimmy Kimmel Live! “It was Valentine’s Day. We went to dinner, and I thought we were gonna see some art after dinner, but we pulled up to a helicopter,” she explained. “It was really sweet. He asked me to marry him in a helicopter.” However, it didn’t go particularly smoothly.
“He’s pulling out this box that’s too big for his coat pocket and rips his coat pocket, and his elbow goes into the champagne,” she dished. “We did land, and it was like James Bond. Everybody had an earpiece. We go downstairs … and my whole family was there and all of my friends. He did so well.”
UGH, seems like we all need an Orlando!
