Kate Gosselin’s Kids Are “Annoyed” She’s Still Single

It’s time to get Kate Gosselin back in the dating scene — according to her eight kids, that is! The reality star mom has been divorced from her children’s father, Jon Gosselin, for nearly a decade, which is why her children are ready to see their mom happy with someone new. In fact, they’re even “annoyed” that she hasn’t made any effort regarding that aspect of her life.

In a recent Kate Plus 8 promo, Kate said, “Now, more than ever, my kids actually are getting annoyed that I’m still single.” Haha!

The reality star was previously linked to her bodyguard, Steve Neild. In December, In Touch exclusively reported that her rumored beau may have to testify in court as part of the bitter custody agreement with Jon because he “knows everything that goes on behind closed doors in the house” — particularly when it comes to the couple’s children, Mady and Cara, 16, and Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Leah, and Joel, 13.

She was also reportedly dating millionaire businessman, Jeff Prescott. After seeing each other for about nine months, though, he called it quits. He told Radar Online at the time, “I just wasn’t ready for this sort of attention. It would have been a ratings bonanza, but I wasn’t up for the chaos and pressure that would ensue.” However, Kate has repeatedly denied being in a relationship with Jeff at all. She tweeted, “There was no breakup recently/at all. Gotta b[sic] in a relationship in order 2[sic] ‘break up!'”

Despite this drama, Kate has been focusing her efforts on the kids, especially when it comes to Collin, who has special needs. Recently it was revealed that he has been living away from his other siblings in a program that assists children with special needs. However, a source recently revealed to Hollywood Life that he’s doing well. “Kate doesn’t want Collin on camera very much because all the stimulation can be difficult for him.” They added, “Kate decided to send him to a facility because she thought it was best for him. Now it seems that Collin is flourishing, and he’s responding very well to one-on-one instruction. He definitely finds it easier to function and cope better without all the chaos that his home life entails.” We’re so happy to hear!

As for whether or not Kate is actually open to her children’s request to find a new man? “If I had the avenue, I’m all in,” she said.
