Kate Beckinsale Acknowledges Those Pete Davidson Romance Rumors On Instagram

Ever since we first got word that Pete Davidson and Kate Beckinsale had left a Golden Globes afterparty together, we’ve been pretty much freaking out. As far as potential celebrity couples go, this one would be legendary. And after the tough 2018 Pete had following his broken engagement and split from Ariana Grande and subsequent suicidal struggles, he deserves a little extra good in his life. Machine Gun Kelly may be a great friend, but he’s hardly a gorgeous superstar. Plus, Kate’s always been into younger men, and a funny guy seemed right up her alley, too. While posting a photo of her gorgeous mother, Kate had a little fun with the old-school fashion. “It was great that my mother covered wearing hot pants really well and rocking a fashion owl so that I could chill for my awkward teenage years and just enjoy having the teeth of an adult horse, waiting only a couple of decades for my head to grow to accommodate them,” she joked in the caption, continuing to tease herself and friends in the comments. And when a fan popped up to ask about Pete, well, she kept that same energy.

“Dear heavens, Kate. Not Pete Davidson,” wrote one of her followers. But Kate was quick with a quip. “No, that’s my mother,” she responded good-naturedly. “Easy mistake.”

Fans laughed it up, commenting, “Well played,” and joking back, “Hard LOLs all around on that one. So your Mom dated Pete Davidson?” Others apologized to the star for all of the rumors and questions, but the commenter she responded to was hardly the only one to wonder. “Dear God, YES Pete Davidson,” another fan wrote, with a third wondering (eggplant emoji included), “How was the man, the myth and the legend #PeteDavidson?” And it just went on from there.

So what is going on between these two? We’re crossing our fingers for a serious flirtation, but it seems for now that Kate is planning on side-stepping all that speculation. Hey, as long as she keeps up the hilarious one-liners, though, we don’t mind all that much.
