Kanye West Noticably Absent From the 2017 Met Gala — Find out Why

We certainly missed seeing Kanye West alongside Kim Kardashian at the 2017 Met Gala — and the mother-of-two just spilled the tea as to why her rapper hubby was absent.

Kim was hardly alone for the occasion, though. She was joined by sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner and newly single BFF Lala Anthony.

“He’s at home. He’s been taking some time off and really loving that,” she revealed to People.

Sources previously confirmed to the outlet that he would be staying back home with the power couple’s two children, North and Saint.

“Everything is great with him and Kim and he’s supportive of her going solo,” said the insider.

The family has been keeping a much lower profile ever since Kim was robbed in October and Kanye was hospitalized shortly after for suffering a mental breakdown.

“[They’re] much more low-key and not in the spotlight like before,” another source explained. “They both feel like they are better people and that it has changed their family for the better. They don’t have any desire to go back to how things were.”
