Jaden Smith Carries His Hair on the Met Gala Red Carpet Because He’s Jaden Smith

Well, we’re all used to Jaden Smith making some crazy fashion statements, but his 2017 Met Gala look really took the cake!

A few weeks ago, with the help of dad Will Smith, Jaden cut off his dreadlocks. The 18-year-old is said to have chopped off his blonde locks for an upcoming movie role. And though his long hair was cut, he didn’t part ways with it for too long.

Though his outfit was seemingly simple, sporting an all-black suit and a diamond-encrusted grill, the famous teen walked with one strange accessory: A bouquet of his own hair!
