Joy-Anna Duggar Opens up About Her New Life as a Mommy
Baby Gideon Forsyth is one lucky kid! Just one month after he made his big debut, Joy-Anna Duggar is opening up about how she "can't imagine life" without him. Not only is she revealing a few major details about what motherhood is really like, but how her husband, Austin Forsyth, is adjusting to this new life of theirs as well! Watch the video above and find out what Joy-Anna said about her little family.
And while Austin may be killing it when it comes to his daddy duties, their personal relationship is better than ever. Joy-Anna told Us Weekly, "Our relationship has grown even closer. We're working as a team and this is just another thing that we do as a team."
So not only are they raising Gideon together and tending to all of his needs, but they're also both watching him grow into a healthy little boy. Joy-Anna explained, "He is growing and changing so much every day…It's amazing the love that I have for him."
Joy-Anna recently talked about the love Austin has for Gideon as well explaining that he's happy to have a mini version of himself! She said, "I think Austin's really excited to have a baby boy because he's really wanting to have someone to take to work and to go do a lot of different hobbies. And to just teach him all the skills that Austin knows."
The new parents welcomed Gideon on Feb. 23 after complications forced them to ditch their original home birthing plan. In a special Counting On webisode, Joy-Anna and Austin revealed that the baby was breech and after 20 hours of labor they made the decision to go to the hospital for professional help. She delivered Gideon — who weighed 10 pounds and 3 ounces at birth — via cesarean-section.
