Quality father-son time! Former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star Jon Gosselin and his son Collin Gosselin made some pretty fun memories over the weekend together. Jon took to Instagram on Monday, February 4, to share some pics from his fun trip with his son and his longtime girlfriend Colleen Conrad and it looks like the 14-year-old had a blast.

“Great weekend with Collin and Colleen, Philly Auto Show and the beach!!!!” Jon, 41, wrote on Instagram. It looked like Jon and Colleen wanted to spend some quality alone time with just Collin, because his sister Hannah Gosselin — whom Jon also has custody of — does not appear in any of the photos.

Fans flooded the comments and they were happy to see Collin on Jon’s Instagram. “He’s where he needs to be. With daddy,” one fan wrote, and another commented, “Looks like y’all had a great time!! That smile on his face says a lot!!!”

Collin made his big return to the spotlight on his dad’s Instagram last year. The teen stopped appearing on his family’s hit TLC reality TV series Kate Plus 8 in 2016. In August 2016, his mom, Kate Gosselin, revealed in an interview with People that she was enrolling Collin in a program at a facility for children with “special needs.” Jon has since denied the claims that Collin has special needs.

Collin was in the facility for about two years, and he rarely appeared in family photos on Kate’s Instagram from big events like birthdays and holidays. But just one month before Collin was due to leave his program in December 2018, Jon filed for custody of Collin and it looked like he was going to be in for another nasty custody battle with Kate. But as In Touch previously reported, Kate did not show up to the custody hearing, and Jon was awarded temporary sole custody of Collin.
