Custody win! Former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star Jon Gosselin scored a major win in his nasty custody battle with ex-wife Kate Gosselin. During a court hearing in the family’s home state of Pennsylvania on Tuesday, Dec. 4, Jon was awarded temporary custody of their son Collin Gosselin.

“He won!” a source revealed to Radarwho was first to break the news, and said that the dad-of-eight was thrilled with the judge’s ruling.

Jon, 41, arrived at the courthouse at around 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, dressed in a black coat and suit and he was joined by his legal team, Radar reported. And judging by his demeanor, Jon looked like a man on a mission.

“He looked very serious but calm,” the insider said. “He looked like he had just one thing on his mind: To get custody of Collin.”

The hearing was expected to be a tense face-off between Jon and his ex-wife Kate, but surprisingly, Kate did not appear in court that day and her lawyer did not appear on her behalf.

The hearing lasted for about an hour, and by 10:30 a.m., Jon emerged from the courtroom and seemed elated at his victory. “He looked really happy,” the insider said.

Jon and Kate, 43, have been involved in a very nasty custody battle over their eight children — 18-year-old twins Cara and Maddy and 14-year-old sextuplets Hannah, Collin, Aaden, Leah, Alexis, and Joel. He has been open in the past about how much he missed from his children’s childhoods because Kate was awarded primary custody in their divorce, but now that the children are older, it seems like it’s getting easier for Jon to spend more time with his kids.

Had a good weekend visit with Collin at home!

Earlier this year, Jon gained custody of 14-year-old daughter Hannah and she lives permanently with her dad Jon. Meanwhile, Collin has spent the last two years away seeking treatment at a facility for children, which is a decision that his mother Kate said was a difficult one for her to make. But now that Collin is gearing up to be released from the treatment facility soon, it looks like he’ll be going straight to his dad Jon’s house — hopefully in time for the holidays.
