‘Counting On’ Star Jinger Duggar Likes Shady Fan Comment About How Jordyn ‘Never Got to Be a Baby’
Was she just on a “liking” spree or what? Jinger Vuolo (née Duggar) shared a photo of her younger sister Jordyn for her 11th birthday on December 18 and “liked” a comment in the replies that seemed to imply something rather shady about the way the younger Duggar daughter was parented in their super-sized family.
“Happy Birthday to my little sister, Jordyn!” Jinger, 25, began her caption. “Hope you have a joyful and unforgettable day, filled with everything you love most🎈🍰.” Someone in the comments then wrote, “She is so precious … she never got to be a baby due to Josie‘s early arrival, yet she never was resentful but instead was sweet and loving. She’s such a sweetie.” Jinger notably “liked” that comment, which, frankly, seems a little bit negative toward her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.
It does seem like that the arrival of the youngest Duggar child changed the priorities in the 19 Kids and Counting family. Josie was born prematurely on December 10, 2009, at just 25 1/2 weeks gestation and weighed only 1 pound 6 ounces. That meant Jordyn wasn’t even a year old when her baby sister came along. And Josie was so sick for so long after her birth, the focus — perhaps understandably — shifted to her very necessary care.
The official Duggar family Instagram actually pointed out the odd nature of Jordyn and Josie’s close ages on December 14. “This is a fun week because Josie, Jordyn and [their niece] Mackynzie are all 10 years old right now! 😃 But it’s only for a few more days … Jordyn turns 11 on Wednesday! 💗 #bestfriends,” the post read.
For what it’s worth, the account also shared a special birthday message for Jordyn just a few days later. “Happy birthday, Jordyn!! We’ve been celebrating your birthday a little each day this week, but today you are officially 11 years old!” the shoutout began. “It was so fun to go out to lunch with you today and do some birthday shopping. You are our outgoing girl who has never met a stranger, and your laugh is always one of the brightest spots in our day. Love you!! 💖🎂”
Jordyn was one of Jessa Duggar‘s “buddies” growing up, not Jinger’s. It’s certainly interesting that Jinger still chose to make a birthday post for her sister and “liked” a comment about her seemingly being pushed aside as a baby for Josie’s care instead.
