Fans Mistake Jessa Duggar’s Latest Instagram Post for a Pregnancy Announcement
Oops! Jessa Duggar recently shut down rumors she’s pregnant with baby No. 3, but that didn’t stop fans from mistaking her latest Instagram post with a pregnancy announcement. The Counting On star — who already has sons Spurgeon, 2, and Henry, 1 — opened up about the importance of sharing in the caption, but watch the video above to find out why people were confused!
Last week, the 25-year-old took to her Instagram story to clear up the confusion surrounding her baby bump — and fans were pissed. “Because I’ve been asked if I’m hiding a big of a bump… BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! Yes! Jessa wrote, before adding, “But it’s currently a shrinking bump rather than a growing one. #postpartum #baggyshirts #thanksforasking.” Fans on reddit immediately slammed the star for her sassy comment. “Jessa is such a b—h lol what the hell does she expect her family gained a following for pushing out children?” one redditor wrote. Another chimed in, “I think she is a b—h, but I kinda understand this one. Being ask[ed] if you are pregnant for over a year must be annoying. I also understand why people keep asking that is why her family is famous for. It comes with the territory!”
But just because she’s not expecting doesn’t mean she doesn’t have babies on the brain. Back in 2016, Jessa and her husband, Ben Seewald, opened up about the possibility of adoption — and now many are convinced they’re currently in the process. “I definitely think so,” said a fan on reddit. “They’ve been talking about adoption since the beginning and I think they understand that it will be easier to do now with only two children than later when they have however many more.” Another said, “I think that they’re also concerned about getting Henry’s allergies or any of his sensitivities like that solved. But maybe all those things add up to them deciding it’s God’s way of telling them to wait and adopt.”
The couple — who have been married since 2014 — told Us Weekly, “We have many friends who have walked this road, so we have seen firsthand the amazing power of adoption. There are so many kids out there who are longing for the love of a family, and we feel strongly about opening our hearts and our home to welcome them in.” Only time will tell!
