People can be so cruel. Jersey Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi told Us Weekly on Jan. 7 that people call her kids “ugly,” and really, can Internet trolls get any ruder? Because that seems like a really low bar.

“People say nasty, nasty things to me. I’m like, ‘OK. Calm down.’ But it does get to me if they talk about my kids,” the pregnant reality star revealed to the outlet. “Like, on the web, they are talking kids’ hygiene or just calling my kids ugly. It’s just so unnecessary.” We agree! Those poor children definitely don’t deserve that.

Snooki, 31, is currently expecting her third child with her husband, Jionni LaValle. The Jersey Shore star also told Us Weekly, “I feel like if I don’t post pictures of Jionni or he doesn’t post pictures with me, it’s like we have marital issues. And that’s not the case. Jionni just wants nothing to do with the spotlight.” Hey, to each their own.

Snooki has a son — Lorenzo, 6 — and a daughter named Giovanna already. And they’re both perfectly cute kids! Well, at least when they’re not crying over meeting Santa, which poor little Giovanna did back in November 2016. But every little one has their moments, right?

Snooki seems more than ready to have — and to take on the challenges of having — another kid, no matter how Internet trolls react to them. She actually told Us Weekly back in October that she had “been trying for two months now and it’s not happening.” And when she finally announced her pregnancy on Instagram on Nov. 22, she captioned photos of Lorenzo and Giovanna holding a sonogram with, “What I’m thankful for this Thanksgiving.” How lovely!

No matter how you might feel about Snooki herself, I think we can all agree that her kids didn’t choose to be scrutinized by the public, and should probably be off-limits to gross insults. So how about people cool it with the “ugly” comments, OK?
