Sammi Sweetheart Says Her ‘Taste in People’ Changed After Losing Touch With ‘Jersey Shore’ Cast
Subtle shade? Jersey Shore alum Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola took to Instagram to share a cryptic message about her choice of friends on Monday, April 20. Her telling post comes after her former castmates admitted they lost touch with the 33-year-old.
“Your taste in people will change as you learn to love yourself,” read the powerful message shared to her Instagram Story. To jazz up the image, the brunette beauty added a “Facts” sticker.
Sam seemingly gave her old fist-pumping friends the side-eye after her former roommates revealed they “drifted apart” from her in an exclusive interview with In Touch. “We haven’t spoken to her in a while,” Deena Cortese revealed. “She came to my baby shower and she met CJ and then we kind of lost touch.”
“It sucks,” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi chimed in, adding, “We try and invite her to things.” Although they may not be as close as they used to be, “We do still love her,” Jenni “JWoww” Farley interjected.
While the owner of Sweetheart Styles is busy planning her wedding to Christian Biscardi, which was unfortunately postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, the girls aren’t certain they will score an invite to her upcoming nuptials.
“I think it’s happening soon. We haven’t gotten anything,” Nicole, 32, said of her invitation. While being snubbed from the guest list is hurtful, “It’s understandable,” Jenni, 34, said. “I mean she came from a TV show that she clearly doesn’t want to be a part of anymore. So, there’s probably that give and take of having us part of certain … I don’t know. I wish we could talk to her about it.”
Despite potentially being ousted by the bride, “We would have loved to [go],” Snooki said with a heavy heart. “We wish her nothing but the best,” Deena, 33, reiterated.
Sammi’s relationship with the Jersey Shore cast turned sour after she opted out of returning to the spinoff show Jersey Shore: Family Vacation in 2018. “I am currently extremely happy in every aspect of my life and want to avoid potentially toxic situations,” she said in a statement shared to Instagram at the time, seemingly hinting at her relationship with Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.
Although she may have lost some friends, Sammi is clearly living her best life with her husband-to-be.
