ExclusiveSnooki, JWoww and Deena Admit It ‘Sucks’ That They ‘Drifted Apart’ From Sammi Sweetheart
Say it ain’t so! Jersey Shore stars Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Deena Cortese exclusively tell In Touch they “drifted apart” from former costar Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola in a new interview. “[It] sucks,” the 32-year-old mom of three adds.
“We haven’t spoken to her in a while,” Deena, 33, admits. “She came to my baby shower and she met CJ and then we kind of lost touch.”
“We try and invite her to things,” Snooki says. Although they are not as close as they once were, “We do still love her,” JWoww, 34, reveals.
As for if the ladies will be scoring an invite to Sam’s wedding, Deena says they don’t know. “I think it’s happening soon. We haven’t gotten anything,” Nicole explains. “It’s understandable,” Jenni chimes in, “I mean she came from a TV show that she clearly doesn’t want to be a part of anymore. So, there’s probably that give and take of having us part of certain … I don’t know. I wish we could talk to her about it.”
While they may not be on Sammi’s guest list, “We would have loved to [go],” Snooks sighs.
“We wish her nothing but the best,” Deena gushes, “Because we love Sam,” Snooki adds. “I love her. So, yeah,” Jenni concludes with a heavy heart.
The bride-to-be was once a Jersey Shore staple, living it up at Karma for six seasons of the show from 2009 to 2012. The beauty, who previously dated costar Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, decided not to return for the highly anticipated spinoff show Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, which premiered in 2018.
“I have chosen not to join the show this season because I am at a completely different place in my life right now focusing on my businesses and relationship,” she wrote in a statement shared to Instagram on March 30, 2018. “I am not the same person as I was when I was 22. At 31, I am currently extremely happy in every aspect of my life and want to avoid potentially toxic situations … I will forever be grateful to Jersey Shore and everything it has brought to me!”
