The drama continues for Jenelle Evans. The Teen Mom 2 star has been receiving backlash online for downplaying the severity of Hurricane Florence — and now she’s being slammed again. This time, fans are coming after her for saying she feels “skinnier” due to the storm.

“But with this storm I’m getting skinner [sic] y’all,” she tweeted on Sept. 19. Immediately, people started commenting on the post — which has since been deleted — with one person writing, “Besides her error, it’s an incredibly insensitive thing to say considering people really are in need of food and water.” A second agreed, adding, “Totally. This is something you text a friend not put on the Internet.” A third chimed in, “Everything she’s been saying the last few days is insanely insensitive. She had an opportunity to evacuate and make sure her family was safe and had what they needed. She selfishly stayed home and is now trying to collect Internet sympathy points. This is a new low, Jenelle.”

As the Category 2 storm ripped through parts of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia last week, Jenelle was out there snapping pics in a bikini. Needless to say, her social media posts haven’t been going over too well with the public.

“Hopefully you’re starting to take this seriously. No more #WhatHurricane hashtags and asking for prayers in a bikini. People are dying and losing everything,” one commenter wrote, while calling her out for the way she’s been delivering her messages.

Not one to hold back, Jenelle quickly fired back, tweeting, “No s–t, I meant that caption as in my children are safe and comfortable. Always taking my words and twist them to make it sound negative. .”

Our thoughts go out to everyone who has been affected by the storm — Jenelle included. (Let’s just maybe refrain from more bikini pics, mmkay?)
