Relax Mom Shamers, Jenelle Evans Didn’t Leave Kaiser out of This Cheerleading Event
Take that, mom shamers! Jenelle Evans is constantly getting slammed for the way she chooses to parent her three children, and her every move is under a microscope. Last week, the Teen Mom 2 star got a ton of backlash because she took to Instagram to share an adorable photo taken at her stepdaughter Maryssa’s cheerleading competition, but mom shamers were out in full force and criticized her because Kaiser was the only one in the family photo that wasn’t wearing a matching outfit. Jenelle’s explanation fo the way Kaiser was dressed was understandable and now, her most recent photo from another cheerleading event proved that she was telling the truth, because little Kai was smiling wide in the photo, proudly wearing a T-shirt for his step-sister’s cheer team.
It seems like she’s learning how to handle the mom-shamers with ease and maturity — which is a huge difference from the way she handled herself the last time she was mom-shamed. On a previous episode of Teen Mom 2, cameras captured the tense days leading up to her September wedding to her husband David Eason, and the couple had allegedly gotten into a fight. David kicked the cameras off of their property and when they returned the next day, both David and Jenelle refused to talk about it.
Even though tensions were still high the next day, they still decided to take photos for their save the date, and the couple posed while Jenelle’s sons Kaiser and Jace played nearby. But Jace started crying and having a tantrum when he was scolded for touching the camera and at one point, producers edited the footage by adding a subtitle that made it seem like David and Jenelle were neglecting their kids. kissing for the camera and ignoring Kaiser’s cries because he was hungry and wanted to be fed.
Jenelle was so upset by the editing that she threatened to quit the show in a statement posted to Instagram. “I have decided after this season I’m probably calling it quits for filming this show,” she wrote. “I told Morgan it’s getting to out of hand and it’s not healthy for us anymore, just harming us mentally. They treat all of us as if we are in a freak show and in cages.”
