Jeffree Star’s Review of Kylie Jenner’s Skincare Line Is Scathing: ‘My Face Feels Basic’

We’ve got one word: Ouch! But is that what Kylie Jenner will be saying when she hears beauty guru Jeffree Star‘s scathing review of her skincare line? Or what YouTuber Shane Dawson‘s face is saying after trying those products? On Sunday, June 2, the content creators teamed up to try out Kylie Skin (including that controversial walnut scrub), and, when it came to sharing what they thought, they didn’t hold back. Though the stars did their best to stay unbiased while giving each product in the line a shot, by the end of the video, they were pretty over it.

After calling the face wipes “drier than the f–king Mojave Desert,” Jeffree, 33, admitted he’d rather use them to “clean up s–t” from his six dogs than clean makeup off his skin. “I’m not going to let them go to waste,” he joked as Shane, 30, cracked up. “My face feels basic,” he continued. “I don’t feel like myself. … I’m just not really impressed. … I just wasn’t really wowed by anything.” At the end of the video, he admitted that “Kylie Skin by Kylie Jenner is not Jeffree Star approved.” But at least he said that the packaging is cute — so at least that’s something, right?

At the end of the day, he simple expected higher quality. “[Kylie’s] a billionaire with dermatology people on call,” he told Shane, confirming that he thought the line should’ve been “better” for the price point. Though he thinks he might have liked the toner, it was hard to tell how well it worked after he’d already tried out everything else in the suite of products. Shane is also let down by the line, even admitting that he’s “sad.” But Jeffree had just one question for that: “Are you sad ’cause the products didn’t really work or that your skin’s burning and inflamed?”

Jeffree’s not worried about ending up on Kylie’s s–t list, though. “If you think she cares about this one,” he said, pointing to himself, “absolutely not. She’s fine in her seven houses with her 60 cars. She’s probably pregnant right now and doesn’t give a f–k.” While we don’t know about that, we agree that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is likely not sweating it. Over the weekend, she had bigger things to worry about, like her daughter, Stormi, going to the hospital after an allergy attack. “Nothing else matters when these things happen,” the 21-year-old mom shared on her Instagram story — and we’re pretty sure that includes bad product reviews.
