Javi Marroquin Admits He ‘Failed as a Father’ as He Apologizes to Fiancée Lauren Comeau: ‘I Disrespected You’

The news that the couple had split just two months after getting engaged started circulating around the same time that the police were called to the couple’s home on Saturday, August 17.

Reports at the time indicated that Javi, 26, had actually called the cops on his sister, Lidia, but that the altercation had something to do with his split from Lauren, 27.

Erasing Evidence

Over the next few days, those rumors seemed to be buoyed by the fact that Lauren deleted some of her Instagram photos of them together and even unfollowed her former fiancé on the site.

Cheating Scandal

It didn’t take long for more details about the altercation to come out, and before long it was revealed that Lauren had allegedly discovered her fiancé “naked with another woman in the house.”

Party Problems

“Javi threw a party Saturday night with friends and gym members at their house,” a source told told Radar Online. “At some point, Lauren went upstairs to go to sleep.”

Naked Truth

“When Lauren came back downstairs, she found Javi and a woman naked,” the source spilled. Though it wasn’t clear if anything sexual had happened, the scene spoke for itself.

Emergency Services

Lidia, 31, was called over to help diffuse the situation, but it only continued to escalate to the point that the police were called to escort Javi’s sister off the premises.

Breaking Things Up

Though Lidia eventually left, it didn’t solve the conflict between Javi and Lauren. As of August 22, neither star was following each other on Instagram — and now the father of two is finally speaking out.

Instagram Apology

In a public statement shared to Instagram, Javi apologized to Lauren. “I’m sorry for my mistakes, I’m sorry I broke your heart, I’m sorry I disrespected you,” he wrote.

Sincere Sentiment

“I’m sorry I took you for granted. I could say sorry for a million other things, but I’m sorry will never be enough,” he continued. “I hurt the one person that I love the most.”

Making Promises

“I will do everything in my power to become a better man, and hopefully one day you can forgive me,” Javi swore to Lauren in the post. “I’ll do anything to have you home.”

He also had a message to his sons, both the one he shares with Lauren and the one he shares with Kailyn Lowry. “To my boys, my big dawg and my handsome man, I failed you as a father and failed at my attempt to show you both what it is to be a man.”

“I promise you both my actions will not reflect on how you will treat women, let alone the one you love,” he wrote. “I vow, from this day forward, I will be the example.”

“I will no longer let any of my loved ones down,” he finished the post. “I know, when you both are older … I will be able to tell my story and say look at me now.”

Backlash

Though Lauren hasn’t publicly responded, fans have. “Javi basically admitted what he did,😱” one wrote on Twitter. “His long ass apology was nice, but still. You made Lauren look ridiculous for trusting you. She might forgive you, but she won’t ever forget what you put her through.”

Called Out

“This guy is all talk,” added another. “He’s always reaaallllllly good with the apologies, but the actions don’t ever seem to change. Apologies without actions are just words. Stay single, Javi, it’s what you obviously REALLY want.”

Private Matter

“Apologize in private,” a third insisted. “Stop trying to make money off of everything. You broke that woman’s heart.”
