She’s not going anywhere! Though Jessa Duggar and her husband, Ben Seewald, announced that they’re expecting baby No. 3 back in January 2019, they’ve still got plenty of space at home. Despite their growing family, they’re not ready to level up to a bigger place just yet. In fact, the soon-to-be mom-of-three even recently put a little elbow grease into their space, giving it a minimalist makeover (that was, shall we say, controversially received). When a fan asked if moving was something that the family had considered, though, Jessa shut it down — and offered an alternate plan instead.

“Will you be moving to a bigger house since your family is growing?” asked a fan on Friday, March 29, after Jessa, 26, showed off her transformed living room. In response, the Duggar daughter wrote back, “We are staying put for now! If we are still here in a few years, we have a carport under our roofline that we may end up closing in for a bit more square footage.” Sounds like a plan to us! Moving is a total hassle — and when you’ve got construction and design experts in your family, it might actually be easier to build out instead of packing up.

Of course, there’s also the nostalgia factor. Though she spruced up the place with a new coat of paint and some new decor, Jessa seems to love her current home. It is, after all, where she had her first two kids, sons Spurgeon and Henry. And now that she’s made the space work for them, she clearly loves it even more. “It’s been wonderful having more floor space for the kids to wrestle and built [sic] things,” she wrote on Instagram. The Counting On family has always lived by the mantra of buying used and saving the difference, and it seems they’re implementing a similar DIY philosophy in their homes.
