Kylie’s Klout! Flight Attendant Hilariously Wakes Passengers With ‘Rise and Shine’ During Flight
What a wake-up call! Kylie Jenner’s “Rise and Shine” meme has hit the sky as an American Airlines flight attendant used her iconic lullaby to nudge sleeping passengers on the Los Angeles to Washington D.C. red-eye on Saturday, October 19.
In a tweet that has now gone viral, Cameron Blackmon sang, “Rise and Shine,” on the P.A. system as the flight was about to descend to Dulles International Airport. “Doing the lord’s work this morning on the red-eye in from LAX,” he captioned the video. “RuhISE & SHIyNE babes.”

Cameron’s inspo comes from Kylie’s viral video tour of Kylie Cosmetics HQ. At the end of the clip, Kylie, 22, takes us to see daughter Stormi’s office nursery. The tot was taking a little nap when cameras walked into the room. The makeup mogul sang, “Rise and shine,” to awake the 20-month-old from slumber. Kylie’s pipes have since taken the internet by storm.
“Many were smiling, regardless of getting the joke or not,” Cameron told USA Today. “I had a lady that worked with an entertainment agency on the flight compliment the nod to mainstream media and Kylie.”
“I feel like many airline passengers have gotten so used to the basics of flying that when they hear something out of the ordinary such as me singing ‘rise and shine,’ it puts a smile on their face,” he continued. “I love what I do and enjoy when I am able to brighten the day of my passengers.”
Cameron wasn’t the only one inspired by Kylie’s jingle. Ariana Grande posted a video of her rendition to social media and asked Kylie if she could sample the line. “Yes, yes you can @arianagrande. As long as I’m in the music video,” she replied.
Miley Cyrus and boyfriend Cody Simpson got in on the action and posted their remix with the caption, “Your new alarm clock 🌞 ⏰.” Lizzo, of course, broke out her flute for her cover of the song while Terry Crews used the songs magic to wake up America’s Got Talent judge Howie Mandel. Who will cover the tune next? Cough, cough … Travis Scott, perhaps?
