After being sentenced to 14 days in prison, actress Felicity Huffman is ready to start her time. On Tuesday, October 15, the star checked in to Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California. According to a statement shared with In Touch by her representative, “Ms. Huffman is prepared to serve the term of imprisonment Judge Talwani ordered as one part of the punishment she imposed for Ms. Huffman’s actions. She will begin serving the remainder of the sentence Judge Talwani imposed — one year of supervised release, with conditions including 250 hours of community service — when she is released.”

In addition to the two weeks behind bars, supervised release and community service, the former Desperate Housewives star was also ordered to pay a $30,000 fine. At the time, Felicity, 56, released her own statement revealing that she “accepts the court’s decision today without reservation.” She continued, “I broke the law. I have admitted that and I have pleaded guilty to this crime. There are no excuses or justifications for my actions. Period.”

Though she initially appeared distraught after her sentencing — she’d asked the judge for no prison time in a letter she submitted to the court — reports later revealed she was relieved not to be slapped with a longer sentence. The prosecutor had recommended one month in prison, though USA Today claims they are seeking sentences of more than three years for some other parents involved in the college admissions scandal. “Felicity is grateful she only received 14 days,” an insider told Us Weekly. “The probation report was favorable for Felicity, but there were no guarantees.”

That doesn’t mean the star will have it easy. “Hollywood Madam” Heidi Fleiss served time at the same facility in Dublin and revealed that she “had it rough” behind bars, though she suspects Felicity will be able to manage for only two weeks. An insider exclusively revealed to In Touch that the mother of two is dreading her stay. “[She’s] terrified of being locked up,” the said. “She’s afraid she may get picked on because she’s a celebrity and hates the thought of being away from her family. She just wants to get it over with.”
