Take Away Kylie Jenner’s Wigs and Extensions, and Her Natural Hair Is Super Cute

When celebrities walk the red carpet, their tresses always looks perfect — probably because most of them are hiding their real hair under wigs or adding fullness with extensions. Kylie Jenner once tried to hog all the credit for making wigs "a thing," but stars have been rocking fake hair for decades. In fact, you probably never noticed that you rarely see Beyoncé or Ariana Grande without weaves.

There are plenty of reasons for why celebs wear wigs. For most, they just like to switch up their hairstyles a lot, and for others, they like to add length and fullness to their actual locks. However, for a few celebs, wigs are a way for them to protect their crowning glory. Just think — celebrities are constantly getting their hair curled, dyed, blown out, and flat ironed. It causes a lot of stress on the strands and can damage it. That's what happened to Ariana. Back in 2014, she defended her trademark ponytail extensions to fans who were questioning why she never wore her real curls anymore.

The 24-year-old revealed that she "completely destroyed" her tresses due to having to dye it red for her role in Sam & Cat. "I wear extensions but I wear it in a ponytail because my actual hair is so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd when I let it down," she wrote. "And trust me, it's even more difficult for me to have to wait forever for my natural hair to grow back and to have to wear more fake hair than every drag queen on earth combined. So PLEASE gimme a break about the hair." Since then, Ariana has continued to wear extensions. But what about other celebs? What do their manes look like under those crazy colored wigs? Check out the gallery below to see what stars' real hair looks like.
