She had no idea! When her estranged husband Offset appeared onstage at the Rolling Loud Festival on Saturday, Dec. 15, to publicly apologize and beg for her forgiveness amid his multiple cheating scandals, Cardi B seemed surprised and upset. But many fans weren’t convinced, and now, a music industry insider exclusively revealed to In Touch that Cardi didn’t know that her husband would be making an appearance during her performance and that she was genuinely shocked and shaken up.

According to fan-shot footage obtained by In Touch, Offset sent out a series of over-the-top flower displays that spelled out the message: “Take Me Back, Cardi.” Offset, 27, also had a microphone in his hand and he publicly apologized to his estranged wife in front of the crowd.

“I wanna tell you I’m sorry bruh, in front of the world. I love you,” Offset told Cardi. But the 26-year-old didn’t look happy to see him, and the pair seemed to argue a bit back and forth until she sent Offset on his way, and had stage workers remove the display so that she could continue with her performance.

But Cardi’s fans were upset that Offset had interrupted his wife while she was trying to do her job as a performer onstage, and many of them took to social media to slam Offset and criticize him for showing up seemingly unannounced. Shortly after her set, Cardi took to Instagram to defend the Migos rapper from her own fans who were slamming her hubby.

“Violating my baby’s father is not going to make me feel any better because, at the end of the day, that’s still family,” Cardi, 26, said in a video clip on Instagram. “Unfortunately, we’re going through things and it’s not private, it became public and I just want things to die down. I just need time so we could see eye to eye. I can’t predict the future, I don’t know. But the whole coming at my baby father bulls–t, that doesn’t make me feel any better.”
