Talk about a dynamic duo! Cardi B is making money moves to the big screen alongside Jennifer Lopez in the upcoming film Hustlers. The drama was inspired by the New York Magazine article, “Hustlers at the Scores,” and follows a group of strippers who join forces to scam their wealthy Wall Street clients out of thousands of dollars. The 26-year-old and the 49-year-old are already pretty close due to J. Lo’s single “Dinero” which featured Cardi and Dj Khaled. So now, the two Bronx natives will have a song together and a movie! What’s next? Will Cardi be a bridesmaid at J-Rod’s wedding? We can dream!

The legendary cast does not end there … the “I Like It” rapper and the Grammy winner will be joined by Crazy Rich Asians star Constance Wu and Riverdale‘s Lili Reinart as well as Julia Stiles and Keke Palmer. Sorry Ocean’s 8, Hustler is now in the lead for having the best cast ever. Honestly, Cardi B may just win an Oscar … and we’re excited AF. The film couldn’t be better suited for the mom-of-one – she will most definitely be able to use her past experience as an exotic dancer for inspiration in her new role. The “Bodak Yellow” singer opened up to Cosmopolitan in March 2018 about her past experience as a dancer in Manhattan before she became famous on season six of Love & Hip Hop: New York. “People say, ‘Why do you always got to say that you used to be a stripper? We get it.’ Because y’all don’t respect me because of it, and y’all going to respect these strippers from now on.” So yeah, she’s going to kill it her first feature role.

While Cardi B may not need practice working the poles, J. Lo for sure does, and has proved so on social media! Lucky A-Rod, her new fiancé, is getting a front row seat to all of her training sessions — because they installed a stripper pole in their house! The World of Dance judge took to Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday, February 13, to talk about her new hobby. “We do have a pole at the house right now,” she said. “It’s a portable pole. First of all, this is gonna go bad … but you can practice with it there. I have a girl who comes in and teaches me.” OK so J. Lo can pole dance, regular dance, act, and sing, — is there anything “Jenny from the Block” can’t do?

Lorene Scarfaire, who also wrote the screenplay for Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist, The Meddler, and Seeking a Friend for the End of the World will serve as the film’s director, writer and co-producer. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with this dynamic group of women,” Lorene told Deadline. “We’re grateful to have assembled such a powerhouse cast and can’t wait to start filming at the end of the week. ” The film begins shooting on March 22 in New York City.
