Caitlyn Jenner Skips Event at Florida Hotel to Avoid Khloé Kardashian and Scott Disick
Is there bad blood between Caitlyn Jenner and the Kardashians still? The former athlete was supposed to attend the grand opening of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida with Khloé Kardashian and Scott Disick on Thursday, October 24. However, the 70-year-old canceled on short notice because she didn’t want to be around her family, an insider explained to Us Weekly. Meanwhile, the 35-year-old Revenge Body host and the 36-year-old handsome hunk walked the red carpet together at the shindig, and Scott also brought along his girlfriend, Sofia Richie.
Caitlyn recently celebrated her 70th trip around the sun on Monday, October 28. “Birthday today! So blessed to have so much love in my life from family and friends,” she wrote on Instagram. However, it seems like some of the Kardashians might be on good terms with their stepfather since Kourtney Kardashian wrote, “Happy birthday” in the comments section. Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian posted a sweet picture of herself with Cait on her Instagram Stories, writing, “Happy 70th birthday @caitlynjenner. I love you forever.” Kylie Jenner also gave a shout-out to her father, too. “Happy birthday, @caitlynjenner. I’m so proud of everything you are and all you’ve accomplished. A real-life superhero. I love you.” But the one person who didn’t send Cait a birthday message? Khloé.
The I Am Cait alum was married to Kris Jenner from 1991 to 2015. The former flames share daughters Kendall Jenner and Kylie, but Caitlyn became a stepfather to Kris’ kids — Kim, Kourtney, Khloé and Rob Kardashian — whom she shared with her late husband, Robert Kardashian.
This isn’t the first time the Good American designer has had beef with Caitlyn. During the June 9 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, KoKo was upset that Kim invited Caitlyn to the annual Christmas Eve party. Luckily, Khloé and Caitlyn were able to put the past behind them.
During an appearance on the “Divorce Sucks With Laura Wasser” podcast in May, the blonde bombshell gave an update on her relationship with Cait. “I saw Caitlyn recently, trying to think when, but yeah, when I see Caitlyn, it’s fine,” she explained. “I think we’ve really come a long way. It was a struggle for all of us … not because she was transitioning. I think from just how it was all handled.”
She continued, “But I also think, when your emotions die down, you’re really able to look at everything and be like, ‘We’re all humans, and we’re all trying to figure this out.’ I could only imagine how difficult that had to be to tell your children something like that, but at the time, information was withheld from us, and we had to find out through media channels. I think all of our feelings were hurt, but now I think we’re all in a really good place, and we all just want everyone to be happy with whoever they are.”
Hmmm … we hope that if there is any ~drama~ happening between Khloé and Cait, they can continue to work things out.
