They’re telling their side of the story, too! Bristol Palin is officially replacing Farrah Abraham on the cast of Teen Mom OG — and while Teen Mom fans are still kind of on the fence about the newest addition, it seems like MTV is planning to deliver a fully-fleshed out storyline for the teen mom. Bristol’s first baby daddy Levi Johnston is expected to participate in her storyline for the upcoming season, according to his wife Sunny Johnston.

Sunny took to her Instagram story over the weekend and using the Ask Me a Question feature, Sunny had a little Q&A with her followers. “Are you and Levi going to go on Teen Mom?” one fan asked, and Sunny replied, “Yes.”

But it seemed like some fans were confused and thought that meant Sunny would be the one replacing Farrah instead of Bristol, so she set the record straight.

“Nope! Never been a teen mom,” Sunny wrote. “Hubby was a teen dad though.”

Even though Bristol wasn’t on reality TV at the time, her teen pregnancy and relationship with Levi still played out in the press. Back in 2008, Bristol’s mom Sarah Palin was running for vice president with her running mate John McCain. But since Bristol was only 17 years old at the time, her pregnancy caused a bit of a scandal and Sarah decided to announce Bristol’s pregnancy and engagement to Levi during the 2008 Republican National Convention in order to spin the story from a negative angle to a positive one.

Many felt that Bristol and Levi were only engaged so that their pregnancy wouldn’t reflect negatively on her mom’s campaign, but Levi denied that they were forced into having a shotgun wedding.

“We both love each other,” Levi said at the time in an interview with the Associated Press, via MTV. “We both want to marry each other. And that’s what we are going to do.” But they never made it down the aisle, and they ultimately split two years later.
