Are they or aren’t they? On Friday, May 3, a cameraman asked Brad Pitt if he was reconciling with his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston. “I gotta ask you, everyone wants to know, are you and Jen getting back?” the 55-year-old responded, laughing, “Oh my God.” Then, the Hollywood A-lister told the paparazzi, “All right, have a good one,” before he drove off in his SUV.

The former flames were married for five years before they went their separate ways in 2005. Shortly afterward, Brad started dating Angelina Jolie. Now, for the first time in years, Jen and Brad are both single.

Fans could not contain their excitement when news broke that the handsome hunk made a surprise appearance at Jen’s 50th birthday party in West Hollywood on February 9. At first, “guests were surprised” to see the Fight Club actor at the celebration bash, an insider told Us Weekly. “But it didn’t seem like that big of a deal to Jen. She was happy he was there, but that was it.”

Apparently, the Friends alum reached out to the dad of six the next day. “She wanted to know if he had a good time,” a source told the outlet.

Meanwhile, the brunette beauty got candid about her love life while speaking with Harper’s Bazaar for their June/July issue. “Am I on OKCupid? No. I have zero time, to be honest. My focus has been on the show, so dating has not been one of my first priorities,” she revealed, referring to her new Apple TV Plus series, The Morning Show. “I feel like whatever [romance] looks like, it will present itself, and it’s not about seeking it out, you know?”

Despite the heartbreak, the California native is open to finding love at some point in the future. “My time on this planet has been about … It hasn’t looked a certain way. It’s my way; it’s what I’ve been given this round,” she said. “But I would say, I don’t find any of my past has given me a reason to harden up and create a shell or a wall of ‘No more, that’s it, I’m closed.’”

For now, Brad is trying to spend time with his kids this summer. “Brad had this time blocked off to make World War Z sequel and now it’s fallen apart, he’s decided not to take any other jobs and just be close to his kids for the summer,” an insider told Radar Online. “He’s finally got the chance to catch up on lost time and can’t wait to take the kids on all kinds of day trips.”

Sigh. We can only hope for an epic reunion one day.
