Beth Chapman’s Daughter Shares Update as Her Mom Remains in a Medically Induced Coma
There’s just not much to say. Beth Chapman is currently in a medically induced coma, and her daughter, Bonnie Chapman, gave fans an update on her mom’s condition via her Instagram Story on June 23. “There’s not much of an update I can give,” she captioned a photo of equipment in the hospital. “I can say she’s getting good care.”
Bonnie, 20, continued, “I know you guys wanted more but [you know], it’s a coma. [Not] much can be updated.” Her post came after Dog’s Most Wanted star Duane “Dog” Chapman asked for prayers while his wife remained in the coma. On Saturday, June 22, the 51-year-old’s health apparently took a turn in her ongoing battle with cancer. “Please say your prayers for Beth right now thank you love you,” Dog, 66, tweeted on Sunday, June 23. The former Dog the Bounty Hunter star hasn’t had much else to say on Twitter since.
Dog’s son Leland Chapman posted a photo with Beth on June 23, but it included no caption. His wife Jamie Pilar Chapman also shared a photo of herself with the reality TV star and family matriarch, as well as several throwback photos of Beth on her Instagram Story. Otherwise, the family is mostly keeping quiet, which is understandable since we can’t imagine what they must be going through.
Beth’s family shared details about the state of her health in a statement with local TV news station Hawaii News Now on June 22. She was admitted into the ICU at the Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii that day, where she was placed in the medically induced coma. Duane and the whole Chapman family “humbly ask everyone to please pray for Beth,” according to the statement. They also send their “sincere thanks to everyone for their prayers throughout Beth’s battle with cancer.”
As recently as June 11, Beth shared a photo of herself hard at work with the caption, “Get up dress up show up! #cancerwillnotbeatme.” She’s been keeping strong and positive throughout her entire cancer battle, and our thoughts are with her and her family at this difficult time.
