When we think of the Duggars, "vibrant," "young," and "fun" aren't exactly the words that come to mind. For instance, Ben Seewald is just 22 years old and he's already a husband and father of two, maybe soon to be three if fan theories are correct. But did it have to be this way for him? Some fans are thinking the Dug Life has forced him to miss out on college and enjoying his young life in general.

It all began when Ben seemed a little too excited to play with water balloons with Henry, Spurgeon, and his in-laws on Counting On. Some fans thought he was acting immature by being so playful. But would they think it was so odd for a 22-year-old frat boy in college to enjoy a silly water balloon fight? Probably not. Ben never really got to enjoy goofing around and being a young adult, since he married Jessa at just 18 and quickly began making babies.

The reason fans feel so bad for Ben rather than some other Duggar husbands is that he actually had the chance to do things differently. He began college, but parental and spousal responsibilities took over. Most people in their low twenties have part-time gigs at McDonald's or don't work at all, while Ben is focused on being a handyman to support his family and working toward becoming a pastor.

Ben says on his Facebook that he is "extremely competitive, and like to play sports (football is my favorite). I am also an amateur artist as well as a big Arkansas Razorbacks fan," perhaps if he went to college he could have pursued football more seriously, like his brother-in-law Jeremy Vuolo.

As a matter of fact, Jeremy got to do everything that fans think Ben should have. He actually went to and finished college, then he played soccer professionally, and then he finally settled down and married Jinger Duggar. He is now 30 and they are expecting their first child, so he actually had a pretty normal young adulthood. The reason why fans think Ben didn't do the same is because the Duggars believe that God wants you to marry and procreate early, and once he did that his chances of a normal college experience were over. Hopefully Ben doesn't have any regrets!
