If only all exes were willing to do this! Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner may have gotten divorced, but they’re still going to counseling together, according to the new issue of Life & Style, on newsstands now. The source claims they are still working hard to try to keep the peace and co-parent Violet, 13, Seraphina, 9, and Samuel, 6, as well as they possibly can.

“[Therapy is] helping Jen and Ben to get along,” said the insider. The couple allegedly agreed to monthly co-parenting counseling sessions as part of their divorce, and they upheld the bargain when they met at a session in Brentwood, CA, on Dec. 4. “They may not be romantically linked anymore, but Ben and Jen will always be in each other’s lives, and that’s why they’re still in counseling.”

While the source admits that the couple is mostly just doing it for their children, they’ve still been getting something out of it themselves. “It helps them communicate better and co-parent more efficiently,” said the insider. The couple has learned ways to “create healthy boundaries,” which sounds like a good idea as Jen gets closer to her burger chain CEO boyfriend, John Miller.

“It’s a win-win situation for Ben and Jen, but especially for Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel,” said the insider. It sure sounds like it! Ben and Jen may not be together, but they sure spend a lot of time together as a family. In recent weeks, they’ve been spotted attending church and going to the kids’ karate lessons as a pair. Plus, Jen was a big help when Ben went back to rehab for his alcohol addiction. A report even claims that the pair will be spending the holidays together (plus Jen’s BF) to make things as normal as possible for the kids, so it’s definitely a good thing that they’re doing their best to get along. Keep up the good work, guys!
