He’s trying to look on the bright side. Pete Davidson addressed his split with ex-fiancée Ariana Grande during a comedy show on Oct. 20. The Saturday Night Live star took the stage to co-host Judd & Pete for America, benefiting Swing Left at Largo at the Coronet in West Hollywood. Watch the video above to see Pete’s comments, and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube Channel.

As you may recall, the couple was previously residing together in the $16 million apartment she acquired in New York City. Now, Pete is reportedly staying with family after their whirlwind summer romance ended in a breakup. Over the course of their relationship, Pete and Ariana, 25, got several couple-themed tattoos, which he also made sure to mention during his comedy skit.

“Um, I’ve been covering a bunch of tattoos, that’s fun,” Pete, 24, said. “I’m f–king 0 for 2 in the tattoo [department]. Yeah, I’m afraid to get my mom tattooed on me, that’s how bad it is,” the SNL star continued. “And it was like in a magazine like, ‘Was Pete Davidson stupid?’ And 93% of it said yes. So my boy, he was like, ‘Don’t listen to that s–t man. They’re literally f–king haters.'” Pete then joked about how the Internet trolls were right.

Ariana also recently made her first post-split appearance at a taping of NBC’s A Very Wicked Halloween, and she decided to cover up the tattoo of Pete’s name on her finger. It’s been an especially tough few months for the songstress after the tragic death of her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller. “Time to say bye bye to the internet for just a lil bit,” Ariana wrote in a since-deleted post. “It’s hard not to bump news and stuff that i’m not trying to see right now. It’s very sad and we’re all trying very hard to keep going. Love you. And thank you for being here always.”
