Uhh … file this under WTF. During Ariana Grande’s Coachella performance on Sunday, April 21, the pop star was pelted with a lemon. Yes, you read that right. Many festival attendees uploaded footage where the 25-year-old stopped performing and addressed the situation after a piece of fruit hit her. “That’s ‘cause one of y’all threw a lemon at me,” she said. “S–t.”

Fortunately, it seemed like the “thank u, next” crooner was just fine as she returned to the stage shortly afterward to perform her song “NASA.”

So, who exactly threw the object at Ari? Well, some social media users speculated the person was a Beyoncé fan since her sixth studio album from 2016 is called Lemonade.

One person wrote, “Did Beyoncé throw that lemon at Ariana?? LMAO Beychella impact is real. #Arichella,” while another echoed, “WHICH BEYONCÈ FAN THREW A LEMON AT ARIANA?? I’m a Beyoncé fan but some of y’all Beyoncé fans need to let other singers be great and Beyoncé. Stop comparing and throwing.” A third person couldn’t understand why this would happen to Ari after all she’s been through this past year. “I can’t believe Ariana Grande had a lemon thrown at her. She has been through enough trauma, why are we assaulting her at her show? If it was Beyhive, we need to excommunicate them from the community. It literally hit her. I hope she presses charges. #LemonGate,” they wrote.

The night ended on a high note when fans got quite the surprise — Justin Bieber hopped on stage with the Florida native during her second Coachella set. “I came out here, I had no idea I was going to be on stage tonight. Absolutely no idea,” he said to the crowd. “I wore this fly outfit not knowing that I was gonna be on stage. So anyways, this is my first time on stage in like two years, so I had to get my groove back. I had to get my swag back, you know what I’m saying? So, thank you so much, Coachella. Thank you so much to Ariana Grande.”

Can someone call a detective, so we can get to the bottom of #LemonGate, please?
