Anna Duggar’s Daughter Meredith Is “Determined” to Help Mason Walk and It’s Beyond Precious
Cue the ‘awws!’ Anna Duggar shared several rare Instagram videos on Thursday, Aug. 23 to show off a sweet brother-sister moment. The former 19 Kids and Counting star revealed that her daughter, Meredith, 3, was trying to help her son, Mason, 11 months, learn how to take his first steps and it’s so stinkin’ cute.
“Meredith is determined and eager to teach her little buddy Mason how to walk!” she wrote. “Mommy & Daddy are thrilled too! #bestfriends #littleduggars #11months.” Watch the precious moment in the video above.
Fans seemed to be equally as excited and immediately began commenting on the pic. “Soooo sweet!! She’s a good teacher/helper,” one person wrote. “Can’t believe your cutie pie is already 11 months old!” Another agreed, adding, “Oh my gosh time goes so fast. Cannot believe his 1st birthday is in just a few weeks!!!! Why do they grow up so fast,” and a third chimed in, “11 Months! Time sure does fly fast!!! This is so cute! Miss you all on the show!!!”
In May 2017, Anna and her husband, Josh Duggar, took to the Duggar family’s official blog to announce they were expecting baby No. 5. “For nearly the last two years, we have quietly worked to save our marriage, focus on our children, and rebuild our lives together as a family. Doing so is never easy after a breach of trust. We’ve learned that a life of faith and rebuilding a life together is simply done one day at a time,” the couple wrote in their joint statement. “As we continue our journey as a family and rebuild our lives, we are delighted to share with you that we are expecting a new baby boy later this year. Beauty comes from ashes and we cannot wait to see and kiss the face of this sweet new boy!”
Josh and Anna, both 30, have had a rough couple of years. Josh was disgraced after two back-to-back scandals were revealed in 2015 — first in May when In Touch reported that, as a teenager, Josh had sexually molested five underage girls, including his younger sisters Jill and Jessa Duggar.
The second bombshell broke that August — just one month after the couple welcomed their fourth child together. After a mass hack of the marital affair dating website Ashley Madison, user information was leaked — and it was revealed that Josh had a paid account on the site. He later confessed to cheating on his wife and entered himself into a faith-based rehab facility. He underwent a nine-month program — and Anna stood by his side.
Now, however, it seems like the couple — who shares eight-year-old daughter Mackynzie, seven-year-old son Michael, five-year-old son Marcus, and three-year-old daughter Meredith and 11-month-old son Mason — have worked through their marital issues and are in a good place.
