It’s time! Amy Duggar previously revealed that baby Daxton Ryan’s due date is October 9, and now, right on schedule, she’s heading to the hospital. On Instagram, the TLC star revealed that she and her doctor decided it would be best to schedule a C-section for her delivery. Because of complicating factors, they determined that it would be the safest way for the mama to welcome her son to the world — and in just a few hours, she’ll do just that.

“BRB … We’re gonna go be parents now!!” Amy, 32, shared on the social media site. “Surprise!! Our little Daxton will be here today!! With my small frame and the fact that the [doctor] said theres an 85% chance I’d have an emergency situation, we went ahead and scheduled a cesarean to be on the safe side. I’m sure there will be negative comments, but I have to do what’s right for my body and what’s healthy for my son.”

I've been mentally and spiritually preparing myself for this I'm trying to relax, and not worry! But I've never had surgery before, I've never even stayed in a hospital before, so I'm just a ball of nerves…soo I'd appreciate your prayers!!! But in just a few hours our lives will be forever changed! I'm focused on God's promises and that sweet little face!! Ok, daddy let's do this!!!

“I’ve been mentally and spiritually preparing myself for this,” the occasional Counting On star revealed. “I’m trying to relax and not worry! But I’ve never had surgery before. I’ve never even stayed in a hospital before, so I’m just a ball of nerves … Soo I’d appreciate your prayers!!! But in just a few hours, our lives will be forever changed! I’m focused on God’s promises and that sweet little face!!” To her husband Dillon King, she added, “OK, Daddy, let’s do this!!!”

Though her Duggar cousins usually aim for home births with their kids, Amy has been open about wanting “all the meds” during her labor. In September, she was rushed to the hospital with early contractions and eventually put on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy. The parents were prepared for their little one to come any time, but now they’re back on schedule.

Don’t expect to watch the drama play out on TV, though. When a fan asked if her family’s reality show would be filming her delivery, the mama-to-be joked that it was a “private event,” saying, “Nahhh no thank you! … No cameras need to see all of that! 😂💙” Instead, fans can be involved by sending along the prayers that Amy asked for. We hope baby and mom make it through safely!
