It’s no secret that Amber Portwood‘s new relationship with Andrew Glennon got off to a controversial start, considering the fact that she met him while filming Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars: Family Edition alongside her ex-fiancé, Matt Baier. In Touch caught up with the show’s hosts Dr. V and Dr. Ish earlier this week — and they exclusively shared that they are not pleased with the pregnant Teen Mom OG star’s decision to move on from her relationship with Matt so quickly.

“The issue with [Amber’s new relationship] is the impulsivity of it,” Dr. Ish explained. “You are in a program designed to get you some closure and move forward in your life, in wherever direction that takes you — but while you’re in the program, the guy you came with doesn’t work out, so you end up with another guy, and you ended up get pregnant — it’s a mess.”

He also explained why Amber may not get the happy ending she was hoping for with Andrew. “It goes to the pattern of her impulsive behavior and her being unable to be alone. That’s part of her personality issue. I don’t like it,” Dr. Ish continued. “I certainly don’t like the fact that it happened while she was there, and it speaks to me that there might be more of the same in store for her with [Andrew]. The thing that’s the same in every dysfunctional relationship she’s had is her. She’s the common link. That makes me worry for her in this relationship also.”

Dr. V suggested that Amber’s children — her nine-year-old daughter, Leah, and unborn son, James — help bring “stability” to her life. “While that’s not necessarily a bad thing, we shouldn’t find stability in our children or in our relationships. Stability needs to come from within us,” she shared.

The MTV star even made her fans and loved ones concerned when she started dating Andrew. Her ex and first baby daddy, Gary Shirley, felt she should have taken more time to heal. “I think she should’ve stayed single longer and really gotten to know herself and get over someone before getting with someone else — because that’s how you do it, man,” he said in August. “The correct way. You don’t need someone to make you feel like you’re living.”
