Amber Portwood’s Daughter Is “Being So Cute” About Getting a Baby Brother (EXCLUSIVE)
Leah Shirley is going to be the best big sister — once again! Teen Mom OG star Amber Portwood is gearing up to give her daughter a baby brother named James — and the nine-year-old looked so cute “practicing” her skills during Amber’s bridal shower over the weekend. During an exclusive interview with In Touch, the pregnant reality star revealed that Leah can’t wait to have a brother — as she already has a two-year-old sister, Emilee, from her dad, Gary Shirley, and stepmom, Kristina Anderson.
“Leah is so adorable. She sent me a picture the other day with her and this little onesie that said ‘Little Brother’ on it, and it was so cute,” Amber gushed. “She’s so excited to have a little brother. She’s so good with Emilee, and I can’t wait to see how she is with James. She’s being so cute about it. I can’t wait. It makes me more excited, actually.”
James will be Amber’s first child with her new boyfriend, cinematographer Andrew Glennon. The happy couple met while filming Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars: Family Edition and announced her pregnancy back in November. Their bundle of joy is due to arrive next month — on Mother’s Day, to be exact — and their little one’s moniker is a tribute to Andrew’s late father, James Andrew Glennon.
“Andrew was very close to his father. That’s the main reason he got into cinematography — his father and his grandfather,” Amber shared. “He really wanted to honor his father, and I thought that was a beautiful thing. I even was thinking of putting my dad’s middle name in there, but my brother is named after my dad, so we just went with James Andrew Glennon. It means a lot and I love the name.”
