‘ABP’ Star Bear Brown’s New Girlfriend’s Mom Once Spent Time in the Slammer
Blast from the past. Alaskan Bush People star Bear Brown recently went public with his model girlfriend, Raiven Adams, and now some surprising details have surfaced about her mom, Kassy Contes. Raiven’s mother once spent 45 days in the slammer after being convicted of theft.
Back in 2000, Kassy (who went by the name Kassy Michelle Green at the time) was charged with class B theft in Potter County, Texas, according to new court documents obtained by Radar Online.
“Jim Koch, affiant, swears upon his oath that, in Potter County, Texas, on or about the 14th day of December, 1999, did then and there unlawfully appropriate property, namely clothing, of the value of $50.00 or more but less than $500.00, from the owner … with the intent to deprive the owner of the property,” the paperwork reveals. As a result, Raiven’s mom had to pay a $100 fine and the court also sentenced her to 45 days in jail — lesson learned!
It was recently confirmed that Bear, 31, has been going strong with his girlfriend, Raiven, 21, for almost a year. The couple previously met at his little brother Noah Brown’s wedding to Rhain Brown. Interestingly, Raiven and her mother, Kassy, showed up to take photos of the nuptials. “We just agreed we both felt a connection,” Bear told PEOPLE about his girlfriend in a new interview.
The Discovery Channel star also revealed what attracted him to Raiven in the first place, explaining that she was the whole package in his eyes. “[Raiven] is like, beauty in every sense of the word, inside and out. And she is the most awesome and extreme woman I’ve ever met! I adore her, honestly,” Bear said while raving over her incredible qualities. His model girlfriend also shared the same sentiments, admitting that she adored his ability to love “unconditionally” and selflessly.
