He’s back! 90 Day Fiancé star Azan Tefou (a.k.a. Hassan M’Raouni) has officially returned to social media after a year-long hiatus. Other than posting twice in January and once in September, the star’s Instagram account has been pretty much inactive since June 2018. Where reality stars go, though, haters follow. Despite only posting some gym photos, a selfie and a meme, Azan’s comments are already full of trolls demanding answers about his relationship status with fiancée Nicole Nafziger, his life outside of the show and his gym schedule. Radio Silence

The last time Azan, 26, regularly used his Instagram account was in June 2018, when he shared a photo of him and May, his fiancée’s daughter. Over the next year, he shared only three posts.

Pumping Iron

Now, he’s back and better than ever — and buffer than ever, too. On Wednesday, July 24, the star took to the social media site to share this photo of his torso, highlighting all the work he’s put in at the gym.

Gym Life

“#Noexcuses #stayhealthy #nutrition #gym,” he captioned the photo. The next day, he shared another post from the gym, this time a video of him lifting weights, as he used the #noexcuses hashtag once again.

Call Out

Though there were plenty of thirsty fans drooling over Azan’s muscles, he also got a lot of hate. “How does he manage to pay for gym but can’t support himself financially without Nicole sending him money? 🤔🤔” wondered one fan.

Instagram Trolling

“Who pays for your gym membership?” wrote another as a third added, “You have time to work out with no job.” A fourth snarked that Azan was “gettin’ ready to bench press his girl.”

Real Relationship

Of course, fans were quick to drag Nicole into the conversation in other ways, too — and some thought Azan’s #noexcuses hashtag was snark in its own way. “Are you dropping hints at Nicole? Workout, NO EXCUSES!” read one comment.

Of course, others had a different interpretation. “No excuses not to work out,” said a 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After fan. “But plenty of excuses not to see Nicole or get married. #prioritiesmessedup”

Staying Silent

Though Azan has returned to the platform, it seems he doesn’t have much to say beyond what he’s already shared in his post. Unlike Nicole, who frequently tries to set the record straight, he hasn’t responded to any fans.

Thankfully, Nicole has stepped in to answer some of them herself, verifying that the account really does belong to Azan as well as the fact that he’s actually the one running it.

“This site is run by Nicole. I think the way the show ended for Season 4 is making people doubt their relationship, so she is posting a lot today,” one fan accused the star.

Nicole shot that theory down quickly. “If I was running this account, don’t you think I would be posting more and commenting on my own post?” she fired back, putting the rumors to rest.

Speaking Out

Now that fans know Azan is in control, though, they’re wondering why he hasn’t said anything else. “I guess now since you’re using Instagram again, you can defend Nicole and your relationship with her with all the comments on her page???” commented one.

Facing Criticism

Nicole’s comments are frequently flooded with accusations that her relationship with Azan is fake or that he’s simply stringing her along. Even her costar Colt Johnson asked her if she was really engaged to Azan.

Handling the Hate

Now, it seems that Azan’s comment sections are filling up with the same kind of messages. “Azan, be honest with [Nicole]!” read one. “Your very obvious gestures and distance both emotionally and physically aren’t enough. She doesn’t get it. Just tell her the truth. It’s not fair.”

“Why don’t you just be honest with Nicole and end it already?” asked a second. A third commented, “Bruh, let Nicole go. Stop stringing her along.”

Though ignoring the hate is just as valid as writing epic clapbacks in the comments, we can’t blame fans for wanting to hear from Azan. Luckily, the only people he needs to prove himself to are his own loved ones.

And Nicole’s got his back, regardless. “It doesn’t matter how many years [I’ve been with Azan],” she recently told In Touch in an exclusive statement. “My relationship is my own with the person I am with. No one is allowed to judge me because our process is different.”
