Fans of 90 Day Fiancé know that Steven is far from the perfect partner to Olga, and as it turns out, Steven knows that, too. In a recent Instagram post, the TLC star revealed that he has some pretty serious regrets about the way that he’s treated the mother of his son, especially in the days right after she gave birth, but he’s recognizing them now. He’s also trying to be better, and for the sake of his fiancée and son, we hope he is. His post is pretty sincere, though — and it’s giving some serious faith in the couple.

“If you go back seven months ago on the day when everything started with Olga, I would certainly change some moments,” he shared with a picture of his little family. “Yes, I realize that I was a bit rude and gave vent to my emotions to a girl who was going through a lot after giving birth. Like any person, I make mistakes, I learn. No one on earth is perfect. I know my cons and I’m working on it. I love this girl with all my heart and soul and thank her for our son.”

if you go back 7 months ago on the day when everything started with Olga, I would certainly change some moments. Yes, I realize that I was a bit rude and gave vent to my emotions to a girl who was going through a lot after giving birth. Like any person, I make mistakes, I learn. No one on earth is perfect. I know my cons and I'm working on it. I love this girl with all my heart and soul and thank her for our son. For these two people, I am ready for anything, because they are my everything. I understand that I can not take and change the opinion of each person. It's impossible. But I will not make excuses either. As an honest person, I say that I made a mistake, and I apologized. For me, my family comes first.

That’s how it should be — and we’re excited to see their family continue to grow and change together and get closer. This post is just building on a sentiment that the reality shared last week on his Instagram, though. Following the episode that showed the birth of their child, he wrote on Instagram, “These days were hard for us, arriving in Russia 1 full day before our son was born. Getting no sleep, adjusting to jet lag, learning how to be a dad. Things were said but not all was shown, a 5 minute snippet doesn’t show our relationship… We always end our day on a good note with an I love you and a goodnight kiss.”

We’re rooting for them to work things out and get to a good place — and hopefully that place is somewhere that they can live together.
