Spoiler alert! Fans were introduced to a new set of couples on the season 3 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, including Rebecca and Zied. During the season premiere, Rebecca, 46, revealed that she was keeping a very big secret from her boyfriend — she was still legally married to her ex-husband. Rebecca’s marital status could be a very big issue for the couple if they wanted to file for the K-1 visa for Zied so they can get married in the United States. But now, In Touch can confirm that Rebecca and Zied won’t have to worry about that in the future, because she is now officially a single woman.

According to divorce documents obtained by In Touch, Rebecca finalized her divorce from her ex-husband on July 9, 2019. The Georgia native and her Moroccan ex-husband got married on September 20, 2013, and they were married for nearly five years before they officially separated on January 4, 2018. But she didn’t file for divorce until May 9, 2019 — and she was still legally married when she went to Tunisia to meet Zied for the first time in person, which will eventually play out on season 3 of the hit TLC reality TV series. But Rebecca admitted that she kept her marital status a secret from Zied, and she was nervous to tell him the truth.

“I want the engagement, I want the wedding, I want our life to start but I just have left a lot of things out about my past. I’m keeping a secret from Zied. When I get to Tunisia, he deserves for me to be completely honest but I have no idea what Zied is going to do when he finds out. He could absolutely end this relationship,” Rebecca said during her confessional.

“So as of right now, I’m not technically divorced from my ex,” Rebecca explained in another scene. “I think I put it off, emotionally, I just kept putting it off. It just, it didn’t end well, the whole relationship didn’t go well. So he finally signed the papers, but Zied, he thinks I’ve already filed. It’s gonna be an issue. I think that at some point, during the time that I’m there with him, the topic is going to come up and I’m going to have to be honest with him and it scares me to death because he’s so jealous.”

In the episode, Rebecca went to the courthouse to file the paperwork, but she said she won’t have a court date set until after her trip to Tunisia. “So when I show up in Tunisia and [am] technically someone else’s wife, and in Zied’s culture, a relationship with a married woman is strictly forbidden. I would like to think that he’s going to be understanding but that’s a pretty big deal. Zied tells me that he loves me, and says all the things that I want to hear. I have no idea what Zied is going to do when he finds out that I’m still married. I’m scared that it would cause the end of the relationship,” Rebecca said, wiping away tears.
