He’s making progress. 90 Day Fiancé fans were super worried about former star Ricky Reyes. As In Touch previously reported, Ricky spent the last couple of days being hospitalized in a facility after struggling with mental health issues. But on Sunday, March 10, Ricky left the facility and returned home, and he took to Instagram Live to share an update with fans about his mental health battle. But as soon as he left the facility, he went to the gym which is something that helps keep him focused.
“Right back at it….. consistency and I cannot even tell you how much you guys inspire and motivate me. #latsworkout #backday #bicepsworkout #nevergiveup #onedayatatime #soberlifestyle #focusyourmind,” he captioned this Instagram selfie.
“So basically, this is what happened. On Tuesday, I went to the gym to work out so I could go to sleep,” Ricky said. “I came back and took melatonin and couldn’t sleep. Wednesday, I was like oh my god I’m still awake, I had been up for 24 hours.”
“So I went back to the gym so I could get myself tired to go to sleep,” Ricky continued. “And then I became manic, I was like oh my god I can’t sleep, I’ve been up for 38 hours. And basically, I lost it.”
“I wasn’t myself and so the honest truth, I was starting to blame other people — my ex in particular — about all these problems I have,” Ricky explained. “All the money I used to have, I don’t really have much, my economic situation, the relationships between my daughters and myself, how I view myself as a dad, I couldn’t reconcile the relationship between my ex. “
“And all these things started to just pile up and the lack of sleep,” he said. But then he lashed out at his ex and he texted her, saying horrible things. After that, Ricky felt so bad that he wanted to drink.
“And I was like you know what? Let me just do an experiment. Let me use my Instagram as an outlet to be transparent about the issues that I’m going through without holding anything back,” Ricky said. “That’s the reason I’m being transparent so that hopefully it can inspire other people or there’ll be some people who I talk to that can inspire me.”
He also revealed why he’s been sharing his fitness and weight loss journey with fans on Instagram. “It kind of motivates me. It kind of checks me a little bit. I’m like okay I started this, now I need to be consistent,” he said. “It kind of checks me just to do this.”
