’90 Day Fiancé’ Star Paul Wants Karine To Get A DNA Test — But It’s Not What You Think
There seems to be a perfectly good reason as to why 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star Paul Staehle would ask his pregnant wife Karine to get a DNA test. During the Season 2 tell-all earlier this week, Paul mentioned that he would request a DNA test to determine the paternity of Karine’s child, but it’s not necessarily because he doesn’t trust her and it’s more because it’s a requirement for the child to gain American citizenship after being born in Brazil.
“In order to transmit US citizenship to a child born abroad, among other requirements, there must be a biological relationship between the child and a US citizen parent or parents,” according to a screenshot from the US Department of State — Bureau of Consular Affairs that Paul shared on Instagram. “Genetic testing is a useful tool for verifying a stated biological relationship in the absence of sufficient other evidence to establish such [a] relationship.”
But either Paul didn’t get to explain that during the tell-all, or it was edited out to create a more dramatic storyline. After Paul brought up the DNA test, tell-all host Shaun Robinson asked if Paul thinks that there is a possibility that Karine could be pregnant with another man’s baby, and Paul said anything was possible.
“There were some [romantic and fliratious] messages on her phone, there were some things that I came across that definitely made me a little upset,” Paul explained. “Sometimes she would go out, she’d be gone all night and come back at the next day at six, seven, eight, nine, 10 o’clock in the morning so I get a little bit concerned.”

When asked if Karine had been talking to any other men since she’s been married to Paul, Karine didn’t deny it. “Well, the people I speak with live very far away. There’s no logic of me betraying Paul with someone that lives far away and me getting pregnant from someone very far away,” she explained.
“I think what Paul did now is really disappointing,” Karine continued. “I hope that my visa doesn’t get approved and I don’t want to go to America because my husband speaks badly of me in front of everybody.”
