’90 Day Fiancé’ Star Nicole Claps Back After Fan Says Her Mom Thinks Azan Is Using Her

On Sunday, May 12, Nicole took to Instagram to share a sweet Mother’s Day tribute to her mom, Robbalee.

“HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!! From me and my mom to you and your mom! I thank God for my one of a kind mom who has taught me so many things over the years of my life. Also for letting me learn some lessons on my own but still being there for me. She’s the kindest person I know and has so much wisdom. I can’t thank God enough for the family I was born into. I’ve been blessed and they make me who I am today♥️♥️♥️,” Nicole wrote in the caption.

But some fans weren’t so convinced that Nicole really heeded her mom’s advice about her relationship with Azan.

“I hope you finally care enough about her feelings about Azan using you,” one fan wrote.

But Nicole clapped back, making it clear that her mom does approve of her fiancé.

“Nicole, ‘Mom, what do you think of Azan?’ Nicole’s mom, ‘I like him a lot,'” she replied in the comments.

But it didn’t seem that way during a scene that aired during the May 12 episode of the hit TLC reality TV series. In the car on the way to a birthday celebration for her 5-year-old daughter, May, Nicole revealed that she was not looking forward to reuniting with her entire family for the first time since she returned home to Florida from her extended stay in Azan’s home country of Morocco.

“Today we’re celebrating May’s birthday and I’m kinda nervous because it’s the first time the whole family’s gonna be in one place since I didn’t get married. I feel like they’re all gonna have a lot to say about what happened with me in Morocco and why we didn’t get married, what’s happening and blah blah blah blah blah. I just want to enjoy the day and celebrate May’s birthday,” Nicole explained in her confessional.

And Nicole’s mom, could not hide her excitement that her daughter and granddaughter were finally stateside.

“We’re happy to have Nicole back in Florida with us,” she gushed in her confessional.

“I would like to see Nicole stay here, get May into school, get her life and May’s life going here — but we know it’s probably only temporary, I’m sure she’s going to try to find her way back over [to] Morocco,” Robbalee said.

It didn’t take long for the conversation at the dinner table to get a little awk. When Nicole’s brother asked why she came back without Azan, she replied, “For Americans, you can only go to Morocco for 90 days, so like three months. And because we didn’t get married and I wasn’t able to stay there, I had to come back.”

Nicole’s dad, Tyler, asked if she was planning to stay in Florida, she said, “No. I’m just figuring out my plan to go back.”

And of course, mama bear Robbalee had some thoughts.

“I don’t know where she’s trying to go from here. I mean, they talk about getting married, but the first time, it kind of got called off at the last minute, and the second time it got called off before I was even supposed to there. This whole thing seems like a cycle of nothing,” Robbalee said in her confessional.

“It just doesn’t make any sense, Nicole, why he called off the wedding. You don’t have to necessarily have a big, full-blown wedding. You guys could’ve done like we do here, a justice of the peace kind of thing. But you’re not even that far — he ditched out of that,” Robbalee told her daughter.

“He didn’t ditch out of anything,” Nicole told her mom. “I mean, you were there, we told you it just didn’t feel like a right time for it with money and how much it took to put one together.”

“The last time they decided that they were going to secure their future by using the money that they were going to do for the wedding to start a business. As far as I know, there’s still no business,” Robbalee said.

Robbalee tried to talk some sense into Nicole. “If he loves you as much as he says he does, what assurances do you have that he’ll actually marry you this time?” she said.

“What? I don’t know what you’re saying. We didn’t get married because me and him as a couple decided it wasn’t the right time. I don’t know what you need assurance for?” Nicole snapped.

“I don’t know what his true intent is. But what I saw in Morocco, it was a little unsettling,” Robbalee said.
