She’s real! 90 Day Fiancé star Lana finally met face-to-face with boyfriend David Murphey on Before the 90 Days as she gushed he’s her “soulmate.” On the Sunday, May 17, episode of the show, the couple seemingly proved the haters wrong after family, friends and fans alike dismissed the Ukrainian beauty as a “scammer” who was playing the Las Vegas retiree.

“I didn’t have many relationships in the past. I haven’t married yet and I’ve never been engaged because I haven’t met a worthy man, so I decided to register on a dating site. I could never have believed and predicted that I would meet a foreigner like David,” the blonde beauty tells cameras. “I wrote to David first because I liked his photograph and what he wrote in his profile. I was attracted to us having a lot in common that both love to travel and that he has an excellent sense of humor.”

Though she admits previous attempts to meet up with David fell through, she claims she “never lied” to him about why she had to cancel or “changed [her] mind” about meeting up. This time around, she was “ready” to figure out what their relationship was like in person. “I want to see what he is like in real life, and then I will decide about our future,” she said. “I truly feel like it’s time to meet face-to-face.”

And that meeting went about as well as anyone could hope. “I can’t believe it!” the United States native said. “You’re so beautiful.” His girlfriend was pretty caught up in the moment, too. “I felt he is my soulmate. Sort of. David is a very attractive man. Better than what I expected,” she told producers. “For today, I like everything [about] David. Except this leather coat.”

But that doesn’t mean it’s all smooth sailing from here on out. Though leaked footage from the tell-all finale reveals the couple are now engaged, season 4 costars like Ed Brown, a.k.a. Big Ed, still aren’t ready to buy that Lana is the real deal. “David, news flash — David, you’re not engaged,” he said in the video. “She’s not engaged to you. … And you’re a fool if you think she is.”
