90 Day Fiancé: Karine Speaks English In New Pregnancy Update

So cute! Over the past few months, it seems like pregnant 90 Day Fiancé star Karine Staehle has been working hard to learn English and it looks like she’s one step closer to breaking the language barrier between her and her husband Paul Staehle. In a video clip obtained by In Touch, the Brazilian beauty recorded a super cute selfie video on Snapchat where she shared a pregnancy update with fans and it’s the first time viewers have heard her speak English! Karine and Paul received a ton of criticism from fans of the show because they got engaged, married, and pregnant despite the fact that neither of them spoke the other’s language. When they met and started dating online, Karine only spoke her native tongue of Portuguese and Paul only spoke English, so they relied on using a translator app on their phones to communicate.

But the language barrier wasn’t the only obstacle the couple faced in their relationship. They also struggled with cultural differences, and just days after they tied the knot, they got into a blowout fight over the way Paul treated Karine’s brother — and Karine was so upset that even threatened Paul with a divorce.

Paul and Karine had been separated for a short period of time when Paul got a message from Karine telling him that she was at a nearby hospital. He rushed over and the couple found out that Karine was pregnant. But just a couple of weeks later, Karine had to rush back to the hospital after experiencing complications, which unfortunately resulted in a heartbreaking pregnancy loss. They later revealed that they suffered another miscarriage, which did not make it onto the show. But that’s why the couple is so overjoyed with their current pregnancy because they are finally going to have their rainbow baby.
